A dog eats a winning lottery ticket. Nathan and Rachael Lamet, from Massachusetts, USA, could not believe their eyes when they saw that their two dogs had eaten the winning lottery ticket.
Nathan and Rachel risked not cashing in their winnings
- Nathan and Rachel made a big mistake by leaving their lottery ticket on the footstool.
- The following day, they found it in tatters, torn to pieces by their dogs.
- Incredibly, it was even a winner.
- They sent it into the lottery as it was, along with a photo of the furry dogs.
- They finally received their winnings.
However, fortunately for them, it was a story with a happy ending as the Oregon Lottery staff managed to put the pieces back together and send the couple their cheque. In this way, the couple still cashed in their lottery winnings.
To unmask the incident, the couple sent the Lottery ‘proof’ of the misdeed: the damaged ticket and a guilty photo of their little dogs.
A statement issued by the company reads: ‘Oregon Lottery officials have seen lottery tickets in many different states. Washed in a pair of jeans, dropped in a mud puddle and even run over by cars.
But earlier this week, there was a first. The Oregon Lottery received a letter with a torn ticket and a picture of two dogs. That’s right; the dogs ate the lottery ticket’.
Dog eat winning lottery ticket. The story of those moments

The Klee Kias from Alaska, 11-month-old Apple and 2-year-old Jack have been part of the family since they were puppies. Rachael Lamet recounted those moments: “For some reason, we left the note on the footstool, and they decided it was delicious.
I went to bed, and when I woke up, I had eaten it to the point that I thought it was impossible to control. But my husband thought it was hilarious, and someone could have a good laugh. So he said it was a winner, and indeed it was.

The two could hardly believe the cheque arrived with the winnings. Rachael exclaimed: “This is too much fun. We are buying more chew toys; they consume a lot of them. We love them, but sometimes they are crazy.”
But what figures are we talking about in this case? Well, much ado about (little) nothing since it was certainly not a millionaire’s winnings. Instead, the ‘delicious’ $3 Pharaoh’s Gold crossword puzzle ticket was worth more than double its cost, making Nathan and Rachael win $8.
