MarsCat Bionic Cat. While searching the web for news about dog adoptions the other day, I saw an advertisement marketing a robotic cat…

Believing it to be an advertisement for children’s toys, driven by curiosity, I could not resist and clicked on the ad. But, the surprise of surprises, it was not an ad aimed at children but rather at the domestic market.

MarsCat is the world’s first bionic domestic cat. It was developed by Elephant Robotics to be a domestic robot, a robotic pet to comfort and surprise you, at the modest price of £1,098.00. Just like a real cat, MarsCat is entirely autonomous.

No additional instructions are needed to control its movements. It is fully responsive and has sensitive interactions. It can feel your touch, hear your voice, see your face and play with toys. Each MarsCat is unique, from its eyes to its body to its personality; its personality will change depending on how you pet it.

With the powerful quad-core Raspberry PI, you can also easily program it and give it endless possibilities. So MarsCat can also be an ideal choice for education, research and commerce.

Marscat Highly interactive

You will never know what MarsCat will do next because it is like a real cat, completely autonomous. MarsCat acts independently without any instructions. MarsCat walks, runs, sleeps, sits, stretches, bites its nails, kneads and even buries litter even though it will not produce waste. In addition, it can express different emotions with different meows or gestures.

MarsCat is a good companion; he is fully responsive and interactive. He can play with you or your toys because he can hear, feel and see. Touch his head, chin or back to determine how he will react! It can also interact with objects or people nearby and even play with actual cats.

  • Feel: You can touch his head, jaw and back or hug him. After touching you for some time, MarsCat will interact with you differently. For example, it might sit and look at you, change the image of its eyes or start grunting.
  • Listen: you can talk to MarsCat to order it to walk or come to you, but it will not always follow your command; it has feelings.
  • See: MarsCat will see you or see its toys. For example, MarsCat can play Teaser (recognition of moving objects), Toy-ball, toy fish, or find its bed.

Friendly to people with cat allergies

If you are allergic to your feline family member, why not invite MarsCat into your home? MarsCat can undoubtedly realise your dream of owning a cat. You will achieve a non-allergenic and hygienic environment with no cat hair in the house.

Unique and personality development

MarsCat is unique from its eyes to its body to its personality. MarsCat has six characters that can be changed. He can be enthusiastic or aloof, energetic or lazy, and friendly or shy. His personality develops through the way you pet him.

In addition, you can tease your MarsCat with any prepared toy; it will interact with the toys by approaching, waving, etc. By controlling MarsApp, you can easily change the colours of his eyes and order him to act as you like. If you want to dress your MarsCat, we provide a variety of clothes, hats, collars and even scarves for MarsCat. The combination of clothing styles is totally up to you.

Marscat accessories

Of course, for a robotic cat, there was no shortage of ‘robotic‘ accessories; in fact, there is a Marscat Charger Station with a minimalist design to recharge the Marscat cat from a price of £508; there are other accessories like a bowl and a Halloween costume?!? And finally, interchangeable parts such as ears, tail and neck! Shipping costs are not included; they are only graded for over $3,000.

Frankly, I would never buy such an expensive item, even if I had the financial means; I would always prefer to adopt a pet, of course, as the company advertises for allergy sufferers or disabled people who are unable to handle and care for a pet, it can give the illusion of having a false companion.
